Octopus Energy customers can now get 25 percent off at six different brands of restaurants thanks to a new partnership with Mitchells & Butlers.
From today, customers can claim discounts on meals from Monday to Thursday at any Harvester, Stonehouse Pizza and Carvery, Toby Carvery, Ember Inn or Sizzling Pub – all part of the Mitchells & Butlers Group – through Octopus Energy’s rewards scheme ‘Octoplus’.
Alongside meals at some of the nation’s favourite restaurants, ‘Octoplus’ members can also cash in their points for cinema tickets, National Trust day passes and Octopus Energy merchandise.
Existing ‘Octoplus’ customers also have the chance to win free tickets to various festivals this summer through a new prize draw hosted by the company.
A total of 12 pairs of tickets are up for grabs for festivals like Camp Bestival, Wychwood Festival, and Valley Fest, with each festival offering a ‘grand prize’ as well.
The competition will run from Thursday, April 25, until Friday, May 3, and winners will be announced on May 7.
More than 1.5 million Octopus customers are currently signed up for the ‘Octoplus’ scheme, which enables them to gain redeemable ‘Octopoints’ by keeping a healthy energy account or reducing their energy usage during the company’s ‘Saving Sessions’.
Rebecca Dibb-Simkin, chief product officer at Octopus Energy, commented: “As a Harvester regular, I’m over the moon that they’re now offering discounts for customers who are helping out the grid or keeping a healthy energy account.
“It’s never been a better time to sign up to Octoplus and benefit from food, festivals and days out. Keep an eye out for even more exciting announcements to come.”
To be eligible for ‘Octoplus’, customers must receive electricity from Octopus Energy, have an operational electric smart meter (i.e. receiving half-hourly readings from it) and pay their bills via Direct Debit.
Business customers and smart prepayment customers can also join ‘Octoplus’.
Eligible customers can sign up by clicking on the banner in their online accounts or through the Octopus Energy app.
Points can be redeemed in the ‘Octoplus’ section of the Octopus Energy app or dashboard where users can view available offers and check their ‘Octopoint’ balance.
Customers can then use the provided code in-store or online to unlock the exclusive benefits.
Octopus Energy offers customers a range of schemes and freebies to save money on energy bills – read more about this here.
