Santander has launched a new credit card offering up to £180 cashback a year and fee-free spending abroad.
The Santander Edge credit card, which is exclusively available to any customer who holds a Santander personal current account, is “designed to support and reward” customers with their day-to-day spending.
Matt Hall, Santander’s head of cards, said: “We are delighted to launch our new Santander Edge credit card, giving customers the opportunity to earn up to £180 a year in cashback.
“With people facing higher costs of living, we are always looking at how we can provide new products to support customers make their money go further.”
Mr Hall added: “Santander Edge credit card customers will also benefit from the added protection that you get when spending on a credit card and Santander also offers a range of mobile banking tools to help customers stay in control of their money.”
The card offers up to £15 in cashback a month, with customers earning two percent cashback on all purchases for the first year and one percent after that.
Santander Edge credit card customers will also benefit from access to Santander Boosts, which offers other cashback perks, vouchers, and prize draws with a range of major brands.
The Santander Edge credit card comes with a £3 monthly fee. It has a purchase rate of 23.9 percent p.a. (variable) and a representative rate of 29.8 percent APR.
Customers can apply for the Santander Edge credit card online, over the phone, or in a branch.
To be eligible, people must be a Santander personal current account holder, aged 18 or over, have an income of £10,500 or more per year and live in the UK permanently.
Santander Edge credit card holders also have access to Mastercard Priceless. This is available exclusively to Mastercard cardholders and provides access to experiences and everyday discounts in cities across the world.
Santander also has a range of current accounts new customers can sign up for which would enable them to apply for the new Santander Edge credit card.
